Greetings from Bulgaria! After you land at the airport, take a ride to the hotel and relax. Spend the night in Sofia.
Sofia
Visit St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Saint Sofia Church, the parliament, the presidential building, the National Theatre, and Roman ruins to begin your exploration of Sofia after breakfast. Proceed to Rila Monastery after lunch to take in its architecture and murals. Later, spend the night back in Sofia. (B, L)

Travel to Plovdiv, the 2019 European Capital of Culture, after breakfast to see the Roman Stadium, the Ancient Theatre, and a museum.
